Repeat of the East Palo Alto Police Department Gun Reporting Scheme ?

Remember the IKEA sign advertisement in East Palo Alto calling for people to call and report guns for money?  We reported this and the word spread like wildfire throughout the country.  It seems like whatever hair-brained schemes developed in California soon start infecting the rest of the country.

This behavior WILL BE HAPPENING AGAIN!!!  The Wilmington Police Department in Delaware is setting up a hotline in the next two months.

“Residents can anonymously call and report the location of weapons someone may have illegally.”

How do they expect people to know if a weapon is illegally owned?  Even the California DOJ Bureau of Firearms has trouble determining what an illegal weapon is.
