Remington 710 Winner Announced at Nov 13, 2008 GS2AC Meeting !

Thursday November 13th the GS2AC held its annual end of year celebration and with about 70 people in attendance it was quite an event!

Our main speaker was Tom Mason of the World Forum on Sports Shooting.   If you missed this meeting, you missed hearing about the mess that the UN is trying to create for gun owners in the US .   If you thought we had trouble here in the US , what the UN is trying to accomplish is truly frightening.   The UN is doing everything it can to undermine the Second Amendment by strangling gun and ammo manufacturers internationally by putting them out of business with various new international trade laws. 

If you missed this meeting you also missed out on an open bar and two free drink tickets.  And we had some FANTASTIC Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc on hand,   served up by the ever wonderful Meredith of Harry's Hofbrau.

And if you missed this meeting you also missed out on meeting the winner of the Remington 710 rifle.  As Meredith stuck her hand into the bucket and began mixing up the tickets the room started to get a bit quiet.    Then things really got quiet when she withdrew her hand and handed the President the winning ticket.  

As the winning ticket numbers were slowly read off one by one, the pool of possible winners gradually dwindled until only two attendees were left standing.    And then the final number was announced.....

The winning ticket number was     635723.....

And the lucky holder of this ticket was Burt Smith!  Congratulations Burt!
