The GS2AC 2007 Mesquite & Skeet BBQ was a great success and fun was had by all!!!
We thank the many GS2AC members that worked this event. Special thanks is given to Mark Towber, who set up all the planning and made everything run smoothly.
Saturday August 11 was a special day for the over 170 people who attended our annual Mesquite and Skeet BBQ. Thanks to the genius of head chef Mike Varner and his able asistants, Vince Moudry, Stan Hatano and Mike Bowden , everyone enjoyed a fantastic BBQ lunch. It was FAT CITY !
We also had a number of people who walked away with binoculars, walkie talkies and camping gear from our bucket drawing.
But the biggest winners that day were the two lucky people whose tickets were drawn for the rifle raffle.
The winner of the Mosin Nagant carbine was John Hossele with ticket number 779730.

And the grand prize winner who will be taking home an M1903A3 from the CMP was Steve Beecher with winning ticket number 779787.

Way to go Steve and John !!!
Our Special Guest speaker, Geoff Metcalf was nearly lynched by the Coyote Valley Vigilance Committee. If it were not for the sherrif with a double-barrel shotgun, he might have been swingin' from that big ol' tree limb! See the Wanted Poster. After a rousing Second Amendment talk covering today's issues, Geoff presented us with a fish story.
The sword fighting demonstration by the DAVENRICHE EUROPEAN MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOLwas great!

LIVE birds of prey from WEST COAST FALCONRY was even better than last year with three birds!

The Cowboy Action Shooting Demonstration was great!
The Gunfighters of the Old West provided an historically accurate gunfight along with the Geoff's near lynching!
A display booth by the Single Action Shooting Society received much attention.
Military Vehicles! Free Archery Range!
